We all have things around us in this world that annoy us or frustrate us or even drive us crazy at times. These irritating things are commonly called PET PEEVES.
I thought I would share some of my pet peeves. You may actually feel the same way about some of them……
First is my list of pet peeves involving unconscious or inconsiderate people who drive automobiles. This group tends to include many things that can really get me angry at times.
Why do people refuse to use their blinkers when turning or foolishly fail to turn on their lights when it is raining or dark? Doing these things takes very little thought. They are simply safety requirements or rules for being a good driver.
Then there are those crazy drivers who actually believe they can talk on the phone or text or put on their makeup or eat a Big Mac or read the newspaper while they are driving. These things cause accidents and are putting my life and others in grave danger.
Next are the rude people that I often encounter when eating out at restaurants.
I do not eat at fast food restaurants so I get very disturbed when parents bring their small children with them to a nice restaurant and allow them to scream, to cry, to run around the restaurant, and to do inappropriate acts and do nothing to correct their bad behavior. Even small children can be taught the correct etiquette to use in a public place.
Also some eating habits of people can be a complete turn-off. Making disgusting noises as they shovel the food into their mouths and then chew with their mouths wide open is always so unpleasant to witness. Chewing gum with the mouth open is also unacceptable to me.
Eating out with family or friends is supposed to be a social gathering so why do people insist on talking on the phone, texting, or playing with their phones and ignore the people with whom they are dining. This to me is so incredibly rude.
I am normally an easy going person, but I do have other pet peeves that do tend to disturb me because I feel they infringe on my human rights.
People who smoke around me, who spit on the ground, and who do not cover their noses and mouths when they sneeze or cough make my environment unhealthy, and I do resent this greatly.
People who talk during a film at the movie theater, who use profanity loudly in a public place, who leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot, and who openly scratch private body parts in public are extremely rude and offensive to me.
I am always on time for appointments. In fact, I am usually early so having to wait for late friends, doctors, and other professionals is one of my biggest pet peeves.
I love the social media and the internet, but it also is one of my pet peeves. I really dislike having to deal with pop-ups and inappropriate (often crude) spam in my email account. Facebook can be a problem for me as well. Often this social media does not work well and causes many problems in chatting with my numerous friends. Even some of my supposed friends can become pet peeves. I think it is so unkind and inconsiderate to unfriend me without telling me you are going to do this. I admit I have done this to a few people, but I inform them that I will unfriend or block them before I do it and even give them the reason. This is common courtesy in my opinion.
Then, there are those international people who only become my friend because they want me to find them an American wife so they can get a USA green card or want me to get them a visa which is totally out of my control. These are some of the people I unfriend if their attitudes do not change. I would never use my friends for this purpose so this hurts me deeply when this happens.
Oh my goodness, I just now realized how lengthy this list has now become. I guess I did not realize just how many pet peeves I actually possess. Writing this today has been therapeutic though in many ways and has permitted me to express my true feelings about things that concern or upset me. So this may be one of the better blogs for that I have written for me personally. I actually feel much calmer now. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Try making your own list and see how satisfying it can be!!!

One Response to Things That Drive Me Crazy
