Today’s blog was inspired this week because of my genuine love and respect for Egypt and the citizens there. I decided to share a poem I wrote just a few days ago. I hope you will enjoy it and the attached photos. I hope after you read it, you will want to visit my second home one day. Egypt is truly a magical land not just because of its amazing past civilizations but because of the modern Egyptians that live there with such pride and grace.

Oh, magnificent Egypt, take me back in time to your days of glory
To the days of powerful pharaohs and their historic, interesting story.
Let me witness all of your magic once again through your famous artifacts
And discover with much wonder and total glee all of your amazing facts
That have made you this country that I have now learned to adore
And have made me want to share your land with others more and more.
You have gone through so much strife and turmoil in the past few years.
These terrible problems have brought to me many sad days of tears.
But I want the world to know there is so much good still going on there today
So I am writing my blogs to show the world that you are strong in every way.
I just want Egypt to know that you have all of my respect and all of my love,
And I am certain the love and blessings also from Almighty God above.
The world will return to see the great Giza pyramids and the majestic River Nile.
The world will once again be captivated by your grace and ingenious style.
The world will travel once more to places like Hurghada and Dahab on the Red Sea
To dive in the reefs, to shop and to eat, and simply to feel happy and wonderfully free.
The world will marvel at the rock temples at Abu Simbel and explore the Siwa Oasis.
These are just some of the many incredible places that my soul will continue to miss.
Everyone must one day see the Karnak Temple in Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
Anyone who loves a true interest in history must definitely see these great things.
It is my forever dream for more and more people to be able one day to discover
Why I have become one of Egypt’s biggest supporters and such a huge lover
Of this amazing land you call Misr and of its amazing people above it all.
I know you will continue to stand up so proud, so majestic, and so very tall.
