This has been an extremely busy week so instead of a blog today, I wish to post a poem instead and the link to a Youtube video I made a few months ago to honor the wonderful and hard working people of Egypt—many of whom are dear and close friends of mine. Click on the title to see the video made using this poem and some of my pictures from Egypt plus some special Egyptian music.
Since 2011 Coca Cola has been sponsoring a university scholarship program for Egyptians and later other Arabic students in North Africa and the Mideast. In 2011 the company successfully partnered with the USA Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, and sent ten high school students to attend the Engineering Innovation Summer Program at John Hopkins University’s…..

The modern young Egyptians are all pursuing educational skills to be prepared for the modern and global world in which we live. This is the first blog in hopefully a long series of blogs about current Egypt called EGYPT’S CRUSADE FOR MODERNIZATION. As the world has witnessed since January 2011, Egypt has been experiencing many struggles in its efforts to become a true democratic nation and a future world power. To find a true friend, you must also be a true friend. Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Thus, this could also be interpreted as “be the friend you want to have.” I have found that for the most part, I attract friends whose lives and characters reflect or “mirror” my own life. They clearly have us wrapped around their sweet little “paws.” We absolutely adore them and consider them to be our best friends and even like family members who give up unconditional love in return. However, besides their great companionship, research also indicates all of the wonderful health benefits that they can…..
We all have things around us in this world that annoy us or frustrate us or even drive us crazy at times. These irritating things are commonly called PET PEEVES.
I thought I would share some of my pet peeves. You may actually feel the same way about some of them……
